What this bill would do
The CREATES Act requires the Secretary of Labor to create a competitive grant program for States. These grants are intended to help States establish or improve a credential repository. This repository would collect and share information regarding various credentials, training providers, and career pathways. The goal is to provide data that helps individuals make informed decisions about their education and careers. Each grant is awarded for a three-year period and cannot exceed $10,000,000 per State.
