What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Transparency and Predictability in Small Business Opportunities Act," directs the Small Business Administration Administrator to create new rules regarding cancelled solicitations. It requires the disclosure of justifications for cancellations, as well as information regarding potential reissuances or shifts to other contracts. For solicitations that will not be reissued, the bill establishes a referral process for small businesses that prepared a bid. These businesses would be referred to the Director of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization for help finding similar opportunities. The information must be made available on a single, Government-wide point of entry. No additional funds are authorized for these requirements.
