What this bill would do
The Wildlife Movement Through Partnerships Act of 2025 aims to improve habitat connectivity for migratory big game and other wildlife. It establishes the Wildlife Movement and Movement Area Grant Program to fund projects like habitat leases, road modifications, and human-wildlife collision reduction. Additionally, it creates the State and Tribal Migration Research Program to help agencies collect and analyze movement data. The bill supports the work of the USGS in mapping wildlife corridors and coordinating with various federal and state agencies. It also updates the Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program to include technical assistance for migration corridors. Finally, the Act requires a senior coordinator to manage these various efforts and interagency coordination.
