What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "Preserving Integrity in Immigration Benefits Act," directs the Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to conduct a comprehensive review. This review targets approved immigration benefit requests that are implicated in Presidential Proclamation 10998. The scope includes requests approved between January 20, 2021, and the date this Act is enacted. The purpose of the review is to ensure that requests were properly adjudicated and that applicable standards were applied. Additionally, the Director must provide an in-person briefing to the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary. Finally, a report containing the results must be made available to the public online.
