What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Clarity on Care Options Act," aims to amend title 38 of the United States Code. It requires the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to create and manage a public directory of health care providers that accept assignments under the CHAMPVA program. To do this, entities administering health care networks must query their providers annually to see if they accept these assignments and report the results to the Secretary. The Secretary must then use that information to maintain the public directory. The bill also requires annual reports to Congress regarding provider participation levels.
