What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "CREATIVE Act of 2025," seeks to amend the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965. It establishes the "Creative Economy Revitalization and Workforce Development Program" to provide grants to eligible entities. These grants are designed to increase job opportunities for artists and creative professionals while improving arts facilities and programming. The program offers three types of funding: hiring and production, construction and acquisition, and maintenance and improvement. The Secretary of Commerce will oversee the distribution of these competitive grants.
