What this bill would do
The STRIVE Act of 2025 requires the Comptroller General and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to report on disparities regarding the receipt of disability benefits. It focuses on how race, ethnicity, and gender affect benefit approvals and discharge characterizations. The Comptroller General must provide statistics from the last 15 years and determine if disparities exist. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs must then identify the causes of these disparities and create a three-year plan to address them. This plan must be implemented and reported on annually via a public website.
