What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Stuck On Hold Act," directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to improve telephone service. The Secretary must implement automated systems for each customer service telephone line. These systems must inform callers of anticipated wait times. If a wait exceeds 10 minutes, the system must automatically offer a callback. Additionally, the Secretary is required to issue guidance to try and keep average wait times under 10 minutes.
