What this bill would do
This bill is called the Servicemember Credit Monitoring Enhancement Act. It amends the Fair Credit Reporting Act to expand the definition of an active duty military consumer for certain credit monitoring requirements. The bill changes the definition to a uniformed services member consumer. This new term covers any consumer who is a member of the uniformed services as defined under section 101(a) of title 10, United States Code. It also updates paragraph (2)(A) to use this new term instead of active duty military consumer.
