What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "HUD-USDA-VA Interagency Coordination Act," directs specific federal agencies to work together more closely. It requires the Secretaries of Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, and Veterans Affairs to create a formal agreement to share research and market data. The goal of this data sharing is to assist with evidence-based policymaking. Additionally, the agencies must jointly submit a report to specific House and Senate committees. This report must describe ways to increase collaboration to improve efficiencies in housing programs. Before the report is submitted, it must be published in the Federal Register for a 30-day public comment period.
