What this bill would do
This bill proposes to rename the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The new name would be the "Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2025" (Section 1). Under Section 2, the first section of the original Act would be amended to reflect this change. Additionally, any existing references to the "Endangered Species Act of 1973" in United States laws, maps, regulations, or documents would be updated to refer to the "Endangered Species Recovery Act" (Section 2b).
