What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Medical Supply Sanctions Act of 2025," aims to stop the export of specific medical items to the Russian Federation. It requires the President to prohibit the export of all drugs and prosthetics to that country. The term "drug" includes any drug with an active approval or its components. The term "prosthetic" covers medical devices that replace or improve body functions and are authorized by the FDA, including their parts. This prohibition will remain in place until the Secretary of State certifies that Russia has ended military operations and removed its forces from Ukraine.
