What this bill would do
The No More Narcos Act aims to prevent minors from working with cartels and transnational criminal organizations. The bill requires the Attorney General to establish an informational campaign to educate covered students on the risks of working with these groups. Additionally, the Secretary of Homeland Security must implement a national strategy to combat these organizations targeting and recruiting minors for smuggling or trafficking. Covered students are defined as those in middle grades and high school within 100 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border. Funding for these initiatives will come from the DOJ Assets Forfeiture Fund.
