What this bill would do
The STEM Pathways for the Future Act directs the Director of the National Science Foundation to create a grant program for STEM apprenticeship programs. These grants are meant for entities other than four-year institutions of higher education. The program allows funds to be used for recruitment, planning, and incorporating emerging technology. It also establishes an interagency task force composed of eight members from various federal agencies. This task force is required to submit a report to Congress regarding federal programs focused on STEM career development and training. The task force will dissolve once the report is submitted.
