What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "They're Fast, We're Furious Act of 2025," seeks to establish a street racing prevention and intervention task force. The Director of the FBI is responsible for creating this task force within 90 days of the act's enactment. The group will include members from the Department of Justice, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, State or local law enforcement, and the FBI. The task force is tasked with studying the impacts of street racing, vehicle sideshows, and street takeovers. Additionally, they will develop best practices and educational materials to combat these activities. Finally, the task force must submit a progress report to the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary within one year.
