What this bill would do
The Federal Bird Safe Buildings Act of 2025 requires the Administrator of General Services to use features, practices, and strategies to reduce bird deaths caused by collisions with public buildings. This applies to buildings that are constructed, acquired, or have more than 50 percent of their facade substantially altered. The Administrator must create and update a design guide and share it with other Federal agencies. Certain locations, such as the White House and the Supreme Court, are exempt. The Administrator must certify compliance and report bird fatality assessments to Congress annually.
