What this bill would do
The Green Federal Fleet Act prohibits Federal agencies from purchasing or leasing new non-tactical passenger vehicles that are not zero-emission vehicles. This rule applies to vehicles sourced from non-Federal entities. There is an exemption if an agency head decides a zero-emission vehicle is not technically feasible for a specific circumstance. The act does not apply to purchases or leases made before the date it is enacted.
