What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "Foreclosure Assistance Immediately Reinstated for Veterans Act of 2025," addresses the Department of Veterans Affairs' authority regarding the Veterans Affairs Servicing Purchasing program. It expresses the sense of Congress that foreclosure on a home purchased by a veteran with a VA-guaranteed loan should be a last resort. The bill directs the Department to use its authority to help as many veterans as possible keep their homes. Additionally, it provides a technical amendment to section 3732(a)(2)(A) of title 38, United States Code.
