What this bill would do

The Secret Ballot Protection Act aims to amend the National Labor Relations Act. It focuses on ensuring that employees have the right to a secret ballot election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board to select a representative. The bill would prevent labor organizations from being recognized through private agreements without a majority vote from employees in a secret ballot. It also establishes a process for decertifying a labor organization through a secret ballot election. These changes would not apply to collective bargaining relationships recognized before the Act's enactment.
