This bill, known as the "CBP Relocation Act," directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to move the U.S. Customs and Border Protection headquarters to Texas. The relocation must include all functions, personnel, and real assets of the current headquarters. This move must be completed no later than January 1, 2026. To accomplish this, the Secretary will work with the Commissioner of the General Land Office of Texas.
