What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Human Trafficking and Exploitation Prevention Training Act," seeks to amend the Public Health Service Act. It directs the Director of the Office on Trafficking in Persons to lead a demonstration project focused on training. This training is intended for students, teachers, and school personnel at elementary and secondary schools. The goal is to help these individuals understand, recognize, prevent, and respond to signs of human trafficking and exploitation in children and youth.
