What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Red, White, and Blueland Act of 2025," authorizes the President to begin negotiations with the Government of Denmark. The goal of these negotiations is to purchase or otherwise acquire Greenland. If successful, the bill requires the territory to be renamed "Red, White, and Blueland." All United States laws, maps, and official records would then refer to the territory by this new name. Federal agencies would be required to update their documents and maps within 180 days of the renaming.
