What this bill would do
This bill is known as the Early-Onset Alzheimer's Coverage Act of 2026. It allows individuals diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease to buy into the Medicare program before they turn 65. Eligible individuals must meet specific requirements and would pay the applicable premiums for parts A, B, and D. Enrollees gain the same benefits, protections, and access to Medicare Advantage and Medigap policies as traditional Medicare beneficiaries. The Secretary of Health and Human Services must also update Medicare informational materials to reflect these new options.
