What this bill would do

This bill is called the Protecting American Beef Producers Act. It completely wipes out a specific presidential proclamation from August 2026 called "Further Ensuring Affordable Beef for the American Consumer." Under this bill, federal funds cannot be used to carry out that proclamation. It also stops the President or any other official from lowering tariffs, duties, or fees on imported beef and beef products. The only way those fees can be reduced is if Congress passes a law to do it or declares a state of emergency for our domestic beef supply.
