What this bill would do

The bill is known as the PEPTIDES for Veterans Act. It directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to review current regulations and guidance relating to peptides and establish an appropriate definition. The Secretary must also carry out a study on the safety, efficacy, and potential therapeutic benefits of peptide-based therapies for veterans. Additionally, the bill allows for a pilot program to make peptide-based therapies available to veterans if the Secretary determines they should be provided. Reports must be submitted to Congress at various stages of the review, study, and pilot program.
