What this bill would do

This joint resolution proposes an amendment to the United States Constitution to increase Senate representation. It would add twelve Senators to be elected via a national popular vote. These at-large Senators would serve six-year terms and be divided equally among the three Senate Classes. Additionally, the amendment provides for twelve at-large Electors for President and Vice-President. These Electors would cast their ballots for the candidates who receive the greatest number of votes from citizens.
