What this amendment would do
This amendment was submitted by Mr. Luján and proposes adding a new section to title III of the concurrent resolution.
-
The purpose of the amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to the mental health impacts on children caused by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents entering schools.
-
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These changes are for legislation relating to supporting initiatives that help student mental health to improve academic and behavioral outcomes.
-
This includes addressing the mental health impacts caused by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents entering schools.
-
The legislation must not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
