What this amendment would do
Mr. Bennet submitted SA 958, which is an amendment intended to be proposed to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to mental health and family stability support programs for Department of Homeland Security personnel.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This change is for legislation relating to providing support for Department of Homeland Security personnel, which may include providing mental health and family stability services for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the specified fiscal year periods.
