What this amendment would do
MR. Hickenlooper submitted amendment numbered SA 931 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting health care access for military-connected children at the end of title III.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels. It also allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to protecting health care access for military families.
This may include reinstating the exemption from the Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System for children's hospitals reimbursed by TRICARE.
The changes can be made by the amounts provided in such legislation, as long as the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
