What this amendment would do
Mr. Lee submitted amendment SA 921 to the concurrent budget resolution. The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to the privatization of airport security screening.
What It Aims to Change or Add
- It allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
- These revisions and adjustments apply to legislation relating to ensuring that no reconciliation legislation created from the resolution would directly or indirectly provide funding for the Transportation Security Administration.
- The changes are allowed provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
