What this amendment would do

Mr. Lee submitted amendment numbered SA 919 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7.

  • The amendment adds a new section at the end of title III titled DEFICIT-NEUTRAL RESERVE FUND RELATING TO SAVING THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA FROM MISMANAGEMENT.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

  • These changes are for legislation relating to Congress reasserting legislative authority over the District of Columbia.

  • The legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 or the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
