What this amendment would do

Mrs. Murray submitted SA 895 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7.

Purpose and Changes

  • The amendment aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to accelerating the completion of infrastructure projects at the end of title III.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to ensuring the distribution of discretionary grant funding by the Department of Transportation, including signing grant agreements to accelerate the completion of infrastructure projects.

  • These changes can only be made if the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
