S.Amdt. 894

Mrs. Murray submitted amendment SA 894 to the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to supporting, preventing, and reducing homelessness at the end of title III.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This is for legislation relating to preventing and reducing homelessness, including by prohibiting the Department of Housing and Urban Development from reducing or eliminating programs, employees, or funding intended to prevent or reduce homelessness, including among youth.

To make this happen, the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
