What this amendment would do

Ms. Rosen submitted this amendment, known as SA 855, to the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025.

Its Purpose

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to providing funding for Tribal housing programs. This allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make changes and adjustments for legislation relating to providing funding for Tribal housing programs.

What it Aims to Change or Add

The amendment aims to add a section to the end of title III of the concurrent resolution. It allows adjustments for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to providing funding for Tribal housing programs. This may include funding authorized under the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
