What this amendment would do

  • Submitted by: Ms. Rosen (SA 849)

  • Purpose: The amendment aims to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to supporting rural capacity building to help rural communities leverage Federal funding.

  • Changes to the bill: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to this purpose, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
