What this amendment would do

Ms. Rosen submitted SA 845, which is an amendment intended to be proposed for the concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to supporting National Park Service staffing and programs at the end of title III.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
  • It allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to supporting National Park Service staffing and programs across the 433 units of the National Park System.
  • It applies as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
