What this amendment would do

  • What it does: The amendment adds a new deficit-neutral reserve fund to the budget resolution.

  • What it aims to change or add: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make adjustments to committee allocations, aggregates, and the pay-as-you-go ledger. This is done to accommodate legislation that focuses on protecting the personal private data of the people of the United States from being accessed by the U.S. DOGE Service Temporary Organization.

  • The condition: Any legislation passed using this fund would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
