What this amendment would do
This is amendment SA 806, submitted by Mr. Bennet. Its purpose is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting health care access at the end of title III of the concurrent resolution.
The amendment aims to change the budget rules by allowing the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These changes are meant for legislation relating to protecting access to health care, which may include any action that financially harms rural hospitals and providers, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
