What this amendment would do
Mr. Booker submitted amendment numbered SA 778 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a new deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to HIV/AIDS prevention at the end of title III.
- It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- It allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to improving health outcomes.
- This includes legislation that authorizes or funds HIV/AIDS prevention programs globally.
- The changes are allowed as long as the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
