What this amendment would do

Ms. Warren, along with Mr. Markey, submitted amendment SA 757. This amendment aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to restoring employment for veterans in Massachusetts.

What It Aims to Change or Add

  • Allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
  • Allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
  • Applies to legislation relating to reinstating veterans in Massachusetts employed by Federal agencies as probationary employees who have been fired or separated from service.
  • Requires that such legislation would not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
