What this amendment would do

Mr. Hawley submitted SA 739, which aims to add a new deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to preventing any expansion of the H1-B visa program.

The Purpose

This amendment allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to preventing the expansion of the H1-B visa program.

To make these changes, the legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
