What this amendment would do

Mr. Booker submitted amendment SA 738 to be proposed for the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to clean school buses at the end of title III.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to clean school buses.

This includes replacing diesel-powered buses through the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean School Bus program, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
