What this amendment would do
Mr. Bennet submitted SA 702, which is an amendment intended to be proposed to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to security assistance for Taiwan at the end of title III.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These changes are for legislation relating to increasing security assistance to Taiwan to bolster Taiwan's self-defense by the amounts provided in such legislation, as long as it does not increase the deficit over the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
