What this amendment would do
Mr. Luján submitted amendment numbered SA 693, which aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to focusing on combating robocalls and robotexts to the end of title III.
What It Changes or Adds
This amendment allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These adjustments can be made for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to supporting activities to protect consumers, which may include combating scam robocalls and robotexts.
The changes are permitted by the amounts provided in such legislation for those purposes, as long as that legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
