What this amendment would do
-
Mr. Luján submitted SA 692, which is an amendment meant to be added to the concurrent resolution on the budget for fiscal year 2025.
-
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to support for rural hospital and health care providers at the end of title III.
How It Changes the Bill
-
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These revisions and adjustments can be made for legislation relating to increasing funding for rural hospital and rural health care providers by the amounts provided in such legislation.
-
This change only applies if the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
