What this amendment would do
Mr. Luján submitted SA 681, which proposes to add a new section to title III of the concurrent resolution.
-
The amendment aims to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to providing greater incentives for domestic manufacturing.
-
It allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to change committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and to adjust the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These changes are meant for legislation that provides greater incentives for manufacturers who develop and manufacture products in the United States.
-
This is allowed on the condition that the legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
