What this amendment would do

SA 6672, submitted by Mr. Hoeven, is an amendment to bill S. 4784. This bill deals with appropriations for fiscal year 2027 regarding the Department of Defense, military construction, and Department of Energy defense activities.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a requirement for a report on designating a Job Corps Transition Hub. This hub would be intended to support the workforce needs of the Department of the Air Force's Sentinel program.

The amendment specifies that:

  • The Secretary of Labor must submit the report to Congress.
  • The Secretary of Labor must do this in consultation with the Secretary of the Air Force.
  • The report must be submitted no later than 90 days after the Act is enacted.
