What this amendment would do

SA 6591, submitted by Mr. Blumenthal, aims to change section 202 of title 9, United States Code.

  • Update section 202 of title 9, United States Code, by adding specific phrasing and incorporating the entirety of section 1 of that title, including all listed exemptions.

  • Limit the definition of commercial in section 202 of title 9, United States Code, by limiting the relationships described in section 2 of that title to those modified by section 1.

  • Apply these changes retroactively to any action or proceeding that is pending on the date of enactment or initiated on or after that date.
