What this amendment would do

MR. WELCH submitted amendment SA 652 to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to improving rural access to nutrition programs.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These changes can be made for legislation relating to improving rural access to Federal nutrition assistance programs, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
