What this amendment would do

SA 6508, submitted by Mrs. Shaheen and Ms. Ernst, is an amendment to bill S. 4784. This bill deals with appropriations for fiscal year 2027 regarding the Department of Defense, military construction, and defense activities of the Department of Energy.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a section titled "REPEALS OF SYRIA SANCTIONS STATUTES" to the end of subtitle B of title XII.

It aims to change the law by repealing the following:

Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003
Syria Human Rights Accountability Act of 2012
